Identify technology gaps and secure support for developing, piloting and showcasing potential solutions to the net zero challenge
Aims
- Share, promote and bring together technology opportunities for energy transition
- Engage with key industry stakeholders to understand, influence and remove barriers to net zero enabling technologies.

The North Sea Transition workstream is focused on 3 theme areas: carbon storage, deepwater wind and alternative fuels:
Carbon Storage
Focused on three themes: Measurement, Monitoring & Verification, Wells & Injection Systems, C02 Transportation.
Deepwater Wind
Four themes scoped: FOW foundation design, in-situ main component exchange, subsea power hubs, novel anchor solutions.
Alternative Fuels
Identified two overlap areas between the nascent e-Fuel sector and the established O&G industry: repurposing existing infrastructure and supply chain synergies
