Cutting-edge technology can make all the difference to the oil and gas industry as it strives to hit key emissions reduction targets, on the pathway to net zero by 2050. The roadmap report by NZTC, in partnership with the NSTA, identifies more than 40 adoptable solutions that address emissions reduction opportunities across power generation and flaring and venting. It was developed through extensive industry consultation to evaluate current approaches and identify gaps in technology and investment. The 2025 roadmap builds on the partnership’s previous edition, launched last year, https://lnkd.in/eKgTBRwS which provided a comprehensive overview of technologies for measuring and monitoring GHG emissions.
Ernie Lamza, NSTA Technology Manager, said: “Operators and suppliers working together on emissions reductions is crucial to delivering on the industry’s net zero target – and this important roadmap highlights some great examples of collaboration leading to positive results. I am thrilled to see it launched at a technology showcase event which brings together key contributors of this piece of work. Getting the right people in the same room is often the best way to share experience and knowledge, build on existing capabilities and strike up new opportunities to collaborate.”
