Call for Previously Deployed Digital Solutions
Overview
The objective of the digital workstream is to promote the use of data & digital technology to gain additional insight, support better decision making, reduce risk and improve efficiency across offshore energy sectors.
Do you have previously deployed digital or data technology that has not yet gained widespread adoption?
We would like to hear about digital and data solutions across themes of Data Acquisition, Data Sharing, Modelling and AI applications (Computer Vision, Expert System, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Optimisation and Generative AI), your solution must have been successfully deployed and demonstrate an offshore energy value proposition.
These could be across the lifecycle from concept to decommissioning or in project / business support activities as well as related to operational asset management.
The Technology Leadership Board is offering to raise awareness of potentially beneficial solutions to our network of industry and business leaders. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to present their solution to the ~200 strong Technology Managers’ Network which includes senior representatives of UKCS Operators as well have it showcased at relevant industry forums.
Application Criteria and Requirements
Criteria for Previously Deployed Digital Solutions to be considered:
- Must be at a minimum of Technology Readiness Level 9 - “Actual system proven in operational environment”
- Must have been deployed at least once on a commercial basis (UK or overseas), for clarity:
a. Not a pilot
b. Not a field trial
- Must not already be in widespread use in the UKCS (maximum 4 commercial deployments)
Requirements for Previously Deployed Digital Solution applications:
1. Provide Solution’s name or title
2. Briefly describe the Solution
3. Provide details of a minimum of one commercial deployment(s), include: where, when and for which Company
4. Describe the problem solved and any existing approach/technology it would replace
5. Estimate, with supporting backup/rationale, the value generated for the end user, per deployment
6. Estimate, with supporting backup/rationale, the number of potential deployments over the next 10 years.
7. Provide company and contact details, plus authorisation signature.
Explanatory notes / instructions:
1. If all the criteria outlined above are not met, please do not apply. Further opportunities for technologies outside these criteria may be considered in future, but non-compliant applications will not be considered at this time.
2. Complete the attached form using a maximum of 300 words in total. Applications exceeding 300 words will not be considered.
3. Do not provide any content/material in your application which you require to be kept confidential as it may be circulated within the Technology Leadership Board’s networks to promote uptake.
4. Complete the Application Form below as a Word document. Please also provide a signed copy of the form in .pdf format. Email the .doc and .pdf files to info@the-tlb.com. Include “Digital Solution” at the beginning of the title of your submitting email.
