WORKING IN AND WITH THE TLB
TLB represents a cross-section of industry, from operators to suppliers, and those with an interest in deepening the UK oil and gas industry’s technical expertise. We are a virtual organisation tasked with being at the vanguard of the industry’s technology thinking. We achieve this by engaging across industry to ensure our technology strategy is relevant and ambitious.
After graduating in 1993, Dave initially worked Offshore in Commissioning Services, transitioning to Platform Process Engineer by 2002. Development Engineering positions followed, joining Total E&P UK in 2009, where Dave held the role of WoS Development Lead. Expatriation to Paris offer the position of Project Director New Ventures, before returning to Aberdeen in 2016 as Head of Technology Innovation. His current OGA/TLB secondment commenced Jan 2020.
After graduating from Imperial College in 2002, Pádraig joined Shell, initially working in the Netherlands in a technical role. After three years in Holland Pádraig made a significant career move into communications when he moved back to Ireland for the first of two spells working on the Corrib Gas Project. Pádraig has subsequently worked in the US and Canada before moving to Aberdeen in 2012 where he is currently External Relations Manager, UK Upstream.
Having graduated from Imperial College London in 2011, Catherine started her career with Repsol Sinopec as a Graduate Geoscientist working in development, exploration, appraisals and operations before specialising as a Development Geologist. In 2018, with a desire to expand her knowledge of the Industry, she joined the Marketing Team at Repsol Sinopec working in Terminal and Oil and Gas Supply Operations before joining the OGA/TLB in January 2020 for her current secondment in the Technology Team.
